Austrian Badminton Association
The Austrian Badminton Association (ÖBV) is the highest national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in Austria . The association based in Vienna was founded in 1957.
history
Shortly after it was founded in August 1957, the ÖBV became a member of the Badminton World Federation , then known as the International Badminton Federation . In 1967 the ÖBV also became a founding member of the continental umbrella organization Badminton Europe , at the time still operating as the European Badminton Union . In 1958 the national title fights and the junior title fights started , in 1965 the international championships .
