Türkiye Badminton Federasyonu
The Türkiye Badminton Federasyonu (TBF) is the highest national administrative organization for the sport of badminton in Turkey . The association was founded on May 31, 1991 .
history
Founded in 1991, the association is one of the youngest national badminton organizations. İrfan Yıldırım was appointed the first president of the TBF . On November 3, 1991, the TBF became the 104th member of the International Badminton Federation . On December 5, 1993 Akın Taşkent became the first elected president. From 1997 to 2004 A. Faik İmamoğlu directed the fate of the Federation. Murat Özmekik has headed the association since 2004 . The first Turkish championships were held in 1993, the team competition started in 1997 and the Turkey International took place for the first time in 2007.

Leagues
After the first season with 24 teams from 11 regions, eight teams qualified for the Turkish Badminton League. The leagues are now structured as follows:
- 1st division: 12 teams
- 2nd division: 20 teams
- Juniors - 1st division: 12 teams
- Juniors - 2nd division: 20 teams
- Universities - 1st and 2nd league: teams from 38 universities.
