Belgian Badminton Federation
The Belgian Badminton Federation (BBF) is the top national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in Belgium . The administrative seat of the BBF is in Brussels .
history
The Belgian Badminton Federation was founded in 1947 as one of the first national badminton organizations after the war and in April 1950 became a member of the IBF. In 1967 the BBF was one of the eleven founding members of Badminton Europe , at that time still operating under the name of the European Badminton Union. In 1973 the association played a key role in the initialization of the Plume d'Or . The Belgian National Badminton League is organized as the top national team competition . The next lower leagues are the Vlaamse Badminton League and the Ligue Francophone Belge de Badminton . The current president is Edgard Verpoorten .
