Plume d'Or

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Plume d'Or ( French Golden Feather ) was an international badminton competition for national teams. It was launched in 1972 as the Central European Championship by the associations of France, Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland and Czechoslovakia, which in the first few years determined the tournament winner in the mode of everyone against everyone. In 1973 the name of the tournament was changed to Plume d'Or . With the integration of other associations such as Austria, Yugoslavia, Israel, Malta and Spain, and later Gibraltar and Luxembourg, preliminary rounds and classification rounds were introduced. The competition was held for the last time in 1994.
