Anatoly Mikhailovich Samoilenko
Anatoly Mikhailovich Samoilenko ( Russian Анатолий Михайлович Самойленко , Ukrainian Анатолій Михайлович Самойленко Anatoly Mychájlowytsch Samojlenko ; * 2. January 1938 in Potijiwka , Oblast Zhytomyr , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Soviet - Ukrainian mathematician who deals with differential equations involved and nonlinear mechanics.
Life
Anatoly Samoilenko was born in Potiyivka in Radomyshl Raion, Zhytomyr Oblast. Later, his family moved with him to the city of Malyn in the same oblast, where Samoilenko attended high school and graduated from high school in 1955.
He then moved to Kiev and graduated from the named after him Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Kiev State University there . He received his doctorate in 1963 and completed his habilitation in 1967 (Russian doctorate). Until 1974 he was a senior scientist at the Institute of Mathematics of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in Kiev and then professor at the Taras Shevchenko University in Kiev. In 1988 he became director of the Institute for Mathematics of the Ukrainian Academy as the successor to his teacher Yuri Alexejewitsch Mitropolski .
Samoilenko is a full member of the Academia Europaea . In 1978 he became a corresponding and in 1995 a full member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.
