Anatoly Kyrylowytsch Babko (born October 2, jul. / 15. October  1905 greg. In anzhero-sudzhensk , Tomsk Governorate , Russian Empire ; † 7. January 1968 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) was a Ukrainian - Soviet chemist , in particular, handles in analytical chemistry .

Life

Anatolij Babko studied at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute with Ivan Tananaev ( Иван Владимирович Тананаев ). In 1939 he organized the analytical department at the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR , which he headed all his life. From 1940 on he was a member of the CPSU . From 1943 he was also a professor and from 1944 head of the Faculty of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Kiev . His main works were devoted to physical chemistry , complex compounds and their use in analytical chemistry as well as photometric and fluorescent analysis methods. He has published more than 400 publications.
