Anatoliy Mushyk
Anatoliy Mushyk ( Ukrainian Анатолий Мушик Anatolyj Muschyk ; born August 11, 1981 in Kuznetsovsk , Ukrainian SSR ) is an Israeli weightlifter of Ukrainian descent.
Career
Mushyk started for Ukraine at the beginning of his career. In 2002 he took part in world championships for the first time and finished 15th in the class up to 85 kg. At the 2004 European Championships , he won bronze in the duel and silver in the jerk in the class up to 94 kg. In the same year he took part in the Olympic Games in Athens, where he finished eighth. In 2006 he was 11th at the European Championships and 15 at the 2007 World Championships .
Then Mushyk stood for Israel. At the European Championships in 2011 he was sixth in the class up to 85 kg. However, he was disqualified for a doping violation and banned for two years. After his suspension, he finished tenth at the 2014 European Championships . In 2015 he switched back to the class up to 94 kg and reached eighth place at the European Championships .
