Andżelika Anna Możdżanowska (born March 20, 1975 in Kępno ) is a Polish politician and journalist . She was a senator during the 7th legislative period from 2011 to 2015 and has been a member of the Sejm since 2015 in the 8th legislative period . She was also party secretary of the Polish People's Party (PSL).

Life

Andżelika Możdżanowska studied management at the Poznan University of Economics and environmental protection at the Wroclaw University of Science . She also completed a postgraduate course in Kalisz to prepare and manage projects that are implemented with funds from the European Union .

In 1997 Możdżanowska started to work in the publishing and advertising industry and was among other things editor-in-chief and publisher of a local newspaper in Kępno . From 2002 to 2009 she worked in Wieruszów as an economics teacher. Since 2005 she has been teaching and doing her doctorate at a remote faculty in Ostrów Wielkopolski and an academy in Łódź . In addition, she is the head of the non-profit organization “Po prostu pomagam” (Eng. “ I just help ”).

In the parliamentary elections in Poland in 2011 Możdżanowska initially stood as a non-party candidate on the PSL electoral list for the Senate in constituency No. 95 and won 36,566 votes (30.02%). She later joined the PSL and became general secretary of her party in 2012. In the 2014 European Parliament election she ran unsuccessfully. In January 2015, she briefly became State Secretary in the office of then Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz .

In the parliamentary elections in Poland in 2015 Możdżanowska ran again for the PSL, this time in electoral district No. 36 in Kalisz , thus securing her re-entry into the Sejm . Among the candidates of her party she received the most votes with 18,776 votes. On July 19, 2017, Możdżanowska left the PSL and joined the PiS faction in Parliament in December 2017 .
