Not so with Hornslien

Anders Hornslien (born December 6, 1970 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian politician of the Arbeiderpartiet and journalist.

Career

After his school days Hornslien became politically active. From 1991 to 1993 he was chairman of the youth organization Arbeidernes Ungdomsfylking (AUF) in Oslo and a member of the Oslo City Council. Between 1993 and 1996 he was chairman of Europeisk Ungdom , a Norwegian pro-European youth organization.

From 1993 to 1997 and from 1997 to 2001 Hornslien Vararepresentant in the Norwegian parliament, the Storting . As such, he was not directly elected to parliament, but from 1993 to 1997 and from 2000 to 2001 he alternately represented Bjørn Tore Godal and Jens Stoltenberg .

After 2001 he ended his political career and worked as a presenter on Norwegian television. Hornslien can be seen as a television presenter on Metropol TV and Kanal 24 .

Conviction for fraud

In 1998, Hornslien, like other AUF members, was sentenced to five months in prison for serious fraud, of which three months were suspended. As a result, he spent two months in prison in 1998. Together with other members of the UP top in Oslo, he had incorrectly stated the number of members in order to get more support money from the Oslo municipality.

Private

Hornslien has been married to his partner Vidar Ovesen since 1996 . As the first member of a national parliament worldwide, he entered into a civil partnership .
