Wejryd is different

Anders Harald Wejryd (born August 8, 1948 in Falköping ) is a bishop of the Church of Sweden .

Life

Ordained pastor in 1972, Wejryd was Bishop of Växjö from 1995 to 2006 . He then followed KG Hammar as Archbishop of Uppsala . She was succeeded in 2014 by Antje Jackelén , whom he introduced to the episcopate in 2007.

Wejryd has been President for Europe in the World Council of Churches (WCC) since 2013 . He previously served on the central and executive committee of the WCC.
