Career

The midfielder Latrille grew up in the city of Algiers, which was occupied in his youth as the entire country of Algeria by France. He began playing football as a teenager at a club called Red Star Algiers , whose jersey he wore from 1935. In 1940, the then 18-year-old was drafted into the military and did not return to sport until 1944 when he joined the Moroccan club SAM Marrakech . A year later he returned to his previous club from Algiers. In 1946 he succeeded in moving to the French mainland, where he found a new employer in the first division team Olympique Marseille , which competed under professional conditions .

At Marseille he was mainly intended for the second team, but was also in the professional squad and made his debut in the top national division on May 17, 1947 at the age of 25 in a 4-0 win against Red Star Paris . He scored twice as a goal scorer and hit the finish line in the 36th and 75th minutes. In the 1947/48 season he was included in two games and is therefore one of the championship team of 1948, as Marseille was able to secure the title that year. On September 9, 1948, he played his last first division meeting in a 3-1 win against FC Nancy . On December 1 of the same year, he moved to the second division club SC Toulon , before returning to Marseille in the summer of 1949, where he joined the squad of the GSC Marseille, which was actually the second team from Olympique . With this he played second class in 1949/50 and then in lower leagues, although he never managed to return to the first team.

In 1951 Latrille signed with the second division club FC Grenoble , which had achieved the status of a professional club in the same year, and took a permanent place in this from then on. In 1953 he moved to AS Aix and thus again to a second division club, who had accepted professional conditions in the year of his commitment. At Aix, he completed his last year in paid football before ending his career at national level in 1954 at the age of 32 after four first division games with three goals and 139 second division games with five goals. Then he let the amateur club AC Port-de-Bouc end his career.
