André Marius Jørgensen (born April 9, 1979 in Arendal / Norway ) is a Norwegian handball player . His body length is 1.99 m.

Jørgensen, who plays for the Norwegian club ØIF Arendal and plays for the Norwegian men's national handball team (shirt number 17), is mostly used in the left back space.

André Jørgensen started playing handball at ØIF Arendal in his hometown. He later made his debut for Kristiansand in the Norwegian first division. In 2000 he moved to the top club and then champion Runar IL Sandefjord, where he won the Norwegian Cup in 2001. In April 2003 he moved on to Bidasoa Irún in the Spanish league ASOBAL ; In early 2006, however, he let his contract with the Basques dissolve and joined the Danish first division club AaB Håndbold from Aalborg . In summer 2009 he signed a contract with league rivals GOG Svendborg TGI . After GOG went bankrupt, the contract was terminated and Jørgensen signed a contract with the Norwegian club ØIF Arendal in February 2010.

André Jørgensen has so far played 117 international matches for the Norwegian men's national handball team . His greatest success with Norway was 7th place in the men's handball world championship in 2005 . With Norway he participated in the 2006 European Men's Handball Championship and at the World Handball Championship for Men 2007 in Germany in part, but resigned both times been made after the first round and finished in the latter at the end of the 13th. He also took part in the 2008 European Handball Championship in his own country.
