André Reboullet

André Reboullet (born November 22, 1916 in Ruoms , † January 31, 2010 in Paris ) was a French Romance scholar and foreign language teacher .

Life

Reboullet grew up in the Ardèche department , attended the École normal d'instituteurs in Privas and entered the École normal supérieure in Paris in 1937 . He passed the Agrégation and became a high school teacher in Brittany . From 1947 to 1956 he headed a school of the Alliance française in Santiago de Chile . Back in Paris he became deputy director of the BELC (Bureau pour l'enseignement de la langue et de la civilization françaises à l'étranger) and was the founder of the magazine Le français dans le monde in 1961 and editor-in-chief until 1981 , the most important magazine for French at the time as a foreign and second language. He co-founded the Association française des professeurs de français (AFPF, later Association française des enseignants de français, AFEF) in 1968, the Fédération internationale des professeurs de français (FIPF) in 1969 and the Société Internationale pour l'Histoire du Français Langue Étrangère ou in 1987 Seconde (SIHFLES) with the journal Documents pour l'histoire du français langue étrangère ou seconde .
