André Roberto Soares da Silva , known as Beto (born October 25, 1981 in São Carlos ), is a Brazilian soccer player who last played for Mersin İdman Yurdu .

Career

Beto started with professional football at Sport Club Ulbra . He then played for Ferro Carril Oeste and Criciúma EC . In 2010 he moved to the Tunisian league to Étoile Sportive du Sahel .

In the summer he moved to Litex Lovech in the Bulgarian league . After working here for six months, he moved to Gaziantepspor in Turkey . Here he played for three and a half seasons. He spent the second half of the 2010/11 season at Bucaspor .

For the 2011/12 season he broke his contract with Gaziantepspor by mutual agreement and moved within the league to promoted Mersin İdman Yurdu . He was brought here at the request of the coach Nurullah Sağlam , with whom Beto had already worked successfully at Gaziantepspor. At the end of the 2011/12 season it was announced that the expiring contract with Mersin İY was not renewed.

Beto began his career in Azerbaijan in the summer of 2012 and played for FK Xəzər Lənkəran . He left this club in early 2013 and moved to Camboriú Futebol Clube .
