André Thiellement
André Thiellement (born May 6, 1906 in Paris , † February 20, 1976 in Paris ) was a French chess player .
Thiellement learned the game of chess at the age of 17. He won the French championship in 1962 and 1963 and took part with France in the Chess Olympiads in 1954 , 1962 , 1964 and 1968 . In 1952, he won the French team cup Coupe de France with Caïssa Paris . Its highest historical Elo rating was 2436 in February 1966 its highest Elo rating was 2300 with the introduction of this vote by the FIDE in July 1971st
Thiellement was a graduate of the École nationale de la France d'Outre-Mer and worked for years in what was then the French colonies in Africa, including being Prefect of Madagascar .
