Andrés Fassi (born January 29, 1962 in Córdoba ) is an Argentine football coach and sports teacher who is currently under contract as sports director for the Mexican first division club Pachuca .

Life

Fassi first worked as a physical education teacher at his hometown club Belgrano , the city rival of his favorite club Talleres , of which he is a member, and then at San Lorenzo , before moving to the relegation-threatened CF Pachuca in Mexico in early 1997 .

For the first time he supervised Pachuca as head coach on March 2, 1997 in a home game against Morelia (2: 2) and led the team over the full distance of ten games until the end of the season, but was able to (with a record of three wins, one draw and six Defeats) did not prevent the relegation of the Tuzos. Nevertheless, he remained head coach of the Tuzos in the 1997/98 second division season and managed to get promoted again immediately. In the first division season 1998/99 the team he supervised started with a win against Tigres UANL (3-1), but lost the next five games in a row. So Fassi was replaced on September 6, 1998 after the home defeat by Morelia (the team against which he had made his debut as head coach at Pachuca almost exactly 18 months earlier) by the later coach of the national team , Javier Aguirre .

Fassi has been sports director at Pachuca for several years and has initiated a sporting collaboration with his heart club Talleres.
