Andrés Parra

Andrés Parra Medina (born September 18, 1977 in Cali , Colombia ) is a Colombian theater, film and television actor .

Life

Parra grew up in the Colombian capital Bogotá . He played his first theater roles at the age of 11. His teacher convinced him to attend the Escuela de Formación de Actores del Teatro Libre in Bogotá. He completed his training with a bachelor's degree . His training included acting, public relations, clown, production and make-up art.

Since 1991 Parra has played many roles in his homeland, both in classical plays and in the works of modern authors. He has been working as a film actor since 2003 and in television roles since 2005. His most famous role in recent years is that of drug lord and billionaire Pablo Escobar . The series Pablo Escobar: el patrón del mal (The Lord of Evil) of the Colombian television channel Canal Caracol has been running in Colombia and internationally since the beginning of 2013 , which led to some controversies between victims and their relatives as well as representatives of a more open approach to the difficulties of the Past led. The series was largely based on the novel La Parábola de Pablo by the journalist and former mayor of Medellín Alonso Salazar .
