Andrea Elle (born March 21, 1940 in Dresden ) is a former German racing cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Sporty

Andrea Elle began her athletic career with ballet, handball and athletics and eventually switched to cycling.

Andrea Elle started for SC Einheit Berlin . At the UCI rail world championships in Leipzig in 1960 , she finished third in the single pursuit . In 1963 she was GDR road racing champion after having become vice champion in 1958; In 1964 she took third place. On the track she was GDR time trial champion in 1960, 1961 and 1964, and vice-champion in this discipline in 1962 and 1963. In 1960 she was also GDR sprint champion .

Private

In 1964 she married the cyclist Rudolf Franz .
