Andrea Gotzmann
Andrea Maria Gotzmann (born August 7, 1957 in Haan ) is a former German basketball player , has a doctorate in chemistry and has been the chairman of the German Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) since September 2011 .
Career
education
Andrea Gotzmann studied sports science from 1976 to 1982 at the German Sport University (DSHS) in Cologne . This was followed by a degree in chemistry at the University of Cologne .
In 1991 she was at the German Sports University in Biochemistry on "of corticosteroids detection of biologically active substances by means of high pressure liquid chromatography, and standard provisions" doctorate .
Professional career
Her professional career then took place at the DSHS Cologne, where she worked as a research assistant from 1984 to 1995.
In 1995 Gotzmann became a member of the Association of Official Racing Chemists (AORC). From 1996 she worked as a research assistant at the Manfred Donike Institute for Doping Analysis, the An-Institut Biochemie der DSHS Köln and the IOC / WADA accredited laboratory for doping analysis, and since 2004 she has been a member of the World Association of Anti-Doping Scientists (WAADS).
On September 15, 2011, Gotzmann was appointed as the successor of the acting lawyers Martin Nolte and Lars Mortsiefer as the new CEO of the German anti-doping agency NADA. This decision was based on a resolution by the Supervisory Board at a meeting in June 2011 at Liebenberg Castle near Berlin.
In March 2013 Andrea Gotzmann was also elected to the supervisory board of the Institute of National Anti-Doping Organizations (INADO).

Andrea Gotzmann started playing basketball at TuS 04 Leverkusen at the age of 13 .
Three years later she moved to DJK Agon 08 Düsseldorf in 1973 , where she celebrated her first German championship with the club's youth team the following year. In total, she played there for 19 years and was with the team eleven times German champions and six times German cup winners.
Between 1974 and 1983 she played a total of 101 international matches for the German national basketball team .
