Andrea Peterhansel

Andrea Peterhansel (born Andrea Mayer on January 2, 1968 in Kaufbeuren ) is a German rally raid racing driver , journalist , instructor and typesetter.

Career

Peterhansel trained as a typesetter . After a motorcycle trip and journalistic work for a motorcycle magazine, she became a works driver for BMW in 1997 and later for KTM . For these two brands she also took part in the motorcycle classification of the Dakar Rally from 1998 to 2002 . She then became a works driver at Mitsubishi and took part in the Dakar Rally car classification in 2003 and 2004, and was fifth in the 2004 car classification.

Private

Andrea Peterhansel is married to Stéphane Peterhansel . She lives in Switzerland, Germany and France.
