Andrea Schramm
Andrea Schramm (born July 11, 1968 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a German director .
She studied television journalism in Leipzig and directing at the Babelsberg Film Academy . She has been making documentaries since 1993, often accompanying people with her camera for years. Extensive research and filming trips took her to Russia, Asia and America.
In her films she is particularly interested in people who are in borderline situations. "Gnadenlos" is her first full-length film, for which she portrays offenders in a German youth prison. For the film "In the shadow of the blood feud" she accompanies, together with Jana Matthes, a Kurdish family involved in a blood feud. The film was awarded the 2007 German Television Prize.
