Andrea Simmen
Andrea Simmen (born December 15, 1960 in Zurich ; † July 19, 2005 in Flaach , Switzerland ) was a Swiss writer .
Andrea Simmen worked as a cook , decorator and gardener . She began to write on the side. From 1990 she was a full-time writer. She published novels and short stories .
In 1991, 1993 and 1995 the volumes of stories I am a victim of the colon , landscape with shepherds and other charms and maybe his name is Paul . In 2001 the novel The Snowed-in Dog followed .
Andrea Simmen has been honored with various prizes: For example, she received the honorary gift of the Canton of Zurich in 1991, the Pro Helvetia work grant in 1994 , a work year and a work grant from the Canton of Aargau in 1995 and 1999. In 1994 she took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt .
