Andrea Tierney

Andrea Tierney (* 1955 in Linz ) is an Austrian painter and designer . She lives and works in London and Upper Austria .

Live and act

Tierney studied painting at the University of Artistic and Industrial Design Linz , painting with Professors Wolfgang Hollegha and Anton Lehmden and art education with Franz Graf and handicraft education with Edelbert Köb at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna , hypermedia studies and computer technologies at the University of Westminster , London ( Master of Arts ) and Textile Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design , London ( Bachelor of Arts ).

She has lived in England since the 1980s, where she taught for 15 years as an art teacher in high schools, as a guest artist in elementary schools and as a drawing and painting teacher in adult education. Many of her projects are inspired by her city trips.

She is active in artistic disciplines such as watercolor , painting , graphics , textiles , sculpture , interactive staging and digital works.

Exhibitions

Beginning in 2005, the artist can point to a lively exhibition activity in England and Austria.
