Andrea Wagner (born August 29, 1975 in Zwettl ) is an Austrian politician of the ÖVP . From March 2018 to December 2019 she was a member of the Federal Council delegated by the Lower Austria state parliament .

Life

After completing elementary and secondary school in Rappottenstein, Andrea Wagner attended the college for economic professions in Zwettl , where she graduated in 1994 . She then worked as a teacher at the Edelhof children's home until 1995. She has been a farmer since 1999 . In 2010 she completed the agricultural skilled worker training at the Edelhof technical school in Zwettl.

She is the district farmer 's deputy chairman in the Groß Gerungs sub-district and a member of the Lower Austrian regional farmers' council. After the state elections in Lower Austria in 2018 , she has been a member of the Federal Council delegated by the Lower Austria state parliament since March 22, 2018 , where she is the deputy chair of the environmental committee and the committee for labor, social affairs and consumer protection, the committee for family and youth, the committee for civil rights and petitions, heard on the Committee on Innovation, Technology and Future and the Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, and was a member of the Incompatibility Committee.

In October 2019, she was presented alongside President Johannes Schmuckenschlager and Lorenz Mayr as the top candidate for the Chamber of Agriculture election in Lower Austria in 2020. Mayr and Wagner succeeded the previous Vice Presidents Theresia Meier and Otto Auer after the election . In December 2019, Auer moved to the Federal Council instead of Wagner. At the end of April 2020 she was elected Vice President of the Lower Austria Chamber of Agriculture elections.

In January 2020 she was elected as the deputy of country farmer Irene Neumann-Hartberger .
