Andreas B. Imhoff

Andreas B. Imhoff (Andreas Balthasar Imhoff, * 1953 in Basel ) is a German orthopedist and medical director of the department and polyclinic for sports orthopedics at the Klinikum rechts der Isar at the Technical University of Munich . His treatment focuses on soft tissue injuries of the upper and lower extremities.

Imhoff has held the chair for orthopedics and orthopedic surgery at the Technical University of Munich since 1996 .

Live and act

Andreas Imhoff studied medicine at the University of Basel from 1973 to 1979 . He received his doctorate in 1980 in Basel and completed his habilitation in 1996 at the Technical University of Munich.

After stays at the universities of Basel, Zurich and Pittsburgh , he became medical director of the department and polyclinic for sports orthopedics at Klinikum rechts der Isar in 1996.

Imhoff is the founder and board member of several orthopedic specialist societies. Since 1996, he has organized a three-day international shoulder course every September at Klinikum rechts der Isar .

Imhoff is married and has three sons.
