Andreas Bialas (born May 28, 1968 in Schlema , then district of Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since the state elections in 2010 .

Life and work

In 1974 Andreas Bialas moved from the GDR to Wuppertal . After passing the school leaving examination in 1987, he served as an officer in the German armed forces. He completed a degree in education in 1994. From field hunters he switched to the police and from 2001 began studying administration . Since 2004 he has been serving at the Döppersberg inner city police station in Wuppertal.

Party, politics and parliament

Bialas has been a member of the SPD since 1994. He has been on the board of the SPD Wuppertal since 2004. Andreas Bialas represents the state constituency of Wuppertal II in the state parliament . There he is a full member of the Home Affairs Committee and spokesman for his group in the Committee on Culture and the Media.

Andreas Bialas is a member of the board of trustees of the Kunststiftung NRW and the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen , President of the Association of Libraries of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and Vice President of the Cultural Political Society .

Political positions

In 2017, in the face of serious riots by autonomous groups at the G20 summit in Hamburg, Bialas advocated the exclusion of violent disruptors from demonstrations for life. Anyone who attacks police officers during demonstrations, shoots them at them, throws Molotov cocktails and stones at them has "lost nothing at a demonstration for life".
