Andreas Christian Odebrecht (judge)

Andreas Christian Odebrecht (born August 1, 1756 , † January 26, 1831 in Greifswald ) was a German lawyer, most recently an Appellate Councilor in Greifswald.

Andreas (IV.) Christian Odebrecht was a son of Andreas (III.) Christian Odebrecht (1716–1791) and Marie Elisabeth Wilde, daughter of the mayor Friedrich Detlof Wilde. He became assessor at the Greifswald court in 1792 and at the Greifswald Higher Appeal Court in 1808 .

Andreas Christian Odebrecht was married to his cousin Sophia Liboria Lasius († 1835). The marriage remained without heirs. Odebrecht set up a foundation from both assets, which he had the Greifswald magistrate look after. The proceeds should go to needy widows and unmarried women from the descendants of his grandfather Andreas (II.) Odebrecht.
