Jürgen Regge

Jürgen Regge (born August 30, 1940 in Georgenburg ) is a German legal scholar and held a professorship at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University of Greifswald from 1991 to 2006 .

Regge studied law in Kiel from 1960 to 1965 and was then until 1970 research assistant at the chair for criminal law and criminal procedural law at the University of Kiel under Werner Schmid . In 1975 there his doctorate Dr. jur. Between 1970 and 1990 Regge was a university assistant, academic adviser and lecturer. 1985 to 1986 he was also a deputy professor at the Free University of Berlin . From 1990 to 1991 Regge held a full-time professorship at the DAAD in Greifswald to support the founding commission in rebuilding the law and political science faculty. In 1991 he became the professor for criminal law and criminal procedure law at the University of Greifswald. From 1992 to 1994 he was also dean of the local law and political science faculty.

In 2006 he retired.

Memberships

Regge is a member of the German Society for Research in the 18th Century, the Working Group for Prussian History and the Société Jean Bodin pour l'histoire comparative des institutions . From January 2006 to October 2009 he was chairman of the Historical Commission for Pomerania .
