Andreas Crusius

Andreas Crusius (born March 26, 1956 in Stendal ) is a German doctor and professional politician.

Life

Crusius studied medicine at the University of Rostock . After the state examination and the license to practice medicine, he worked at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Internal Medicine at the University of Rostock from 1982. In 1988 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD . After the turning point and peaceful revolution in the GDR in 1990 he was one of the founders of the Rostock Medical Association. In the same year he was elected the first President of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Medical Association, which he is today after six re-elections. From 1999 to 2007 he was Vice President of the German Medical Association . As a pathologist (1988) and internist (1996) he works as a senior physician at the Rostock University Hospital . He sits on the advisory board of the German Medical Insurance . The University of Rostock appointed him honorary professor on March 7, 2018 . In so doing, she paid particular tribute to his contributions to the academic education of students.
