Andreas Dietziker (born October 15, 1982 in Goldingen SG ) is a former Swiss cyclist .

Life

Andreas Dietziker was able to convince in his career especially in the junior categories: In 1998, as a junior, he won the Swiss championship titles on the road, in the time trial and on the track (Omnium). In 2004 he won the Swiss championship title on the road in the U23 category.

In 2005 Dietziker joined the Czech cycling team Ed 'System ZVVZ . His best placings in the first year included a third place at a stage of the Uniqa Classic, eighth place at the Swiss road championships and sixth place in the time trial . In 2006 he moved to the Italian team LPR . At the prologue of the Tour de Romandie , he was able to draw attention to himself for the first time with a ninth place in a race belonging to the ProTour .

In 2007 Dietziker won the one-day race Giro del Mendrisiotto and a stage in the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour, the first international elite. Dietziker achieved his greatest success at the Bayern Rundfahrt 2008 when he finished second, four seconds behind the overall winner. He also took third place at the 2008 Swiss Championships.

With the 2012 season, Dietziker ended his career as a street professional.
