Andreas Falke

Andreas Falke (* 1952 ) is a German political scientist and professor of foreign studies at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg .

Life

From 1972 to 1977 Falke studied social sciences , economics and English at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen ( state examination 1978).

From 1979 to 1983 he was a research assistant with Peter Lösche at the Department of Political Science at the University of Göttingen, where he received his doctorate in 1985 .

Falke then worked for the American embassy in Bonn; initially in the department for public affairs and from 1992 as senior consultant in the economic department of the American embassy in Bonn / Berlin. During this activity , Falke completed his habilitation in 1996 at the University of Göttingen in political science with a thesis on American trade policy.

In 2002 he accepted a professorship for foreign studies with a focus on English-speaking societies at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Since 2004, Falke has also been Director of the German-American Institute (DAI), Nuremberg.
