Andreas Groebl
Andreas “Andi” Gröbl (born October 29, 1970 in Vienna ) is an Austrian sports journalist , commentator , moderator and editor-in-chief .
Life
Gröbl studied business education at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Parallel to his studies, he worked as a marketing assistant in the IBM mainframe area. He later traded in training software. Gröbl worked for five years as a teacher for commercial subjects at the HAK / HAS Tulln . Since 2010 he has been lecturer for e-business at the Wiener Neustadt University of Applied Sciences .
From 1997 to 2004 Gröbl worked in the sports department of ORF . He acted there as a commentator, moderator and contributor. His focus was on motorsport , for which he also produced interviews and reports from the pit lane. From February 2006 to September 2007 he was editor-in-chief for The Red Bulletin magazine . For Die Presse he wrote guest columns on motorsport. Gröbl has been self-employed and managing director of Gröbl Sportevent KG since 2004 . From 2004 to 2005 he was a sports commentator at Tele 5 , from 2004 to 2007 at Premiere / Sky Deutschland and from 2004 to 2012 at ATV in the same position.
Since 2009 he has been working as a commentator and moderator for ServusTV . He is the host of the Sport and Talk format from Hangar-7 and, among other things, moderated the Red Bull Stratos project in 2012 , a parachute jump from the stratosphere from almost 40 km by Felix Baumgartner , 13 hours and 22 minutes without interruption.
Gröbl is married to the presenter and actress Gabriele Gröbl and has two sons. He is a footballer, runner, former national champion in the decathlon, also a band leader, singer, guitarist, songwriter and manager of the rock and pop group Cow Hill Gang , in whose band his wife also plays.
