Andreas Körber (born December 18, 1965 in Hamburg-Bergedorf ) is a German history teacher. He is professor of educational science with special emphasis on didactics of history and politics at the University of Hamburg .

life and career

After attending primary school in Börnsen from 1972 to 1976, attending grammar school in Wentorf from 1976 to 1985, graduating from high school in 1985 and doing military service from 1985 to 1987, Körber studied education, history and geography at the University of Hamburg from 1987 to 1993 . The first state examination followed in 1993, which was followed by a number of years in university service. From 1997 to 1999, Körber completed his legal clerkship at the comprehensive school in Bergedorf and at the grammar school in Lohbrügge. In 1999 he received his doctorate with a thesis on the subject of Gustav Stresemann as a European, patriot, pioneer and potential hinder of Hitler. Historical-political formations of meaning in public memory and was then from 1999 to 2003 a high school teacher for history, social studies and geography at the Uhlenhorst-Barmbek high school . In 2003 he switched to the Klosterschule grammar school . From October 20, 2010 to October 19, 2016, he was Vice Dean for Studies, Teaching and Examinations at the Faculty of Education (until 2014: "Education, Psychology and Movement Science") at the University of Hamburg.
