Andreas Karlsböck

Andreas F. Karlsböck (born November 18, 1960 in Vienna ; † November 22, 2019 ) was an Austrian dentist and politician ( FPÖ ). From 2008 to 2017 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

education and profession

Karlsböck attended grammar school and studied medicine at the University of Vienna until 1985 . Between 1985 and 1993 he completed his assistantship and regular doctoral work in Vienna and Vorarlberg and between 1993 and 1995 he was employed at the University Dental Clinic Vienna. In 1995 he completed the specialist examination for dentistry, oral and maxillofacial medicine and has worked as a dentist ever since.

politics

Karlsböck had been a member of the FPÖ Wien-Landstrasse since 1992 and was elected to the district council in this district in 1996. Karlsböck has been a member of the regional party leadership of the FPÖ-Vienna since 1996 and is currently deputy district party chairman of the FPÖ- Ottakring . Karlsböck also worked as a functionary between 1993 and 2007 in several functions of the Vienna Medical Association. Karlsböck ran for sixth place on the Vienna FPÖ state list in the National Council election in 2008 and was elected to the National Council through this constituency. Karlsböck was sworn in as a member of parliament on October 28, 2008 and took on the role of FPÖ spokesman for doctors within the FPÖ parliamentary club.

Karlsböck resigned from the National Council in October 2017 due to an illness. He died in November 2019, just four days after his 59th birthday.

Karlsböck was married and had two children.
