Andreas "Annan" Knudsen (born November 23, 1887 in Drammen , † February 11, 1982 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian sailor and rower .
successes
Knudsen was a member of the Christiania Roklub and part of the eight with helmsman who took part in the 1908 Olympic Games in London . The boat was eliminated in the first run.
Andreas Knudsen, who sailed for Kongelig Norsk Seilforening , won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 in the 6-meter class according to the International Rule of 1907. He was a crew member of the Marmi , whose crew also consisted of skipper Einar Torgersen and Leif Erichsen . In three races, the Marmi initially failed to cross the finish line before taking second and finally first place. With seven total points, Knudsen finished the regatta in second place behind the Belgian boat Edelweiß II from skipper Émile Cornellie and ahead of the second Norwegian boat Stella .
