Andreas Leitgeb (politician)

Andreas Leitgeb (born August 2, 1962 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian politician ( NEOS ). Since March 2018 he has been a member of the Tyrolean state parliament .

Life

After primary school in Mieders and secondary school in Fulpmes, Andreas Leitgeb attended the BORG Innsbruck in 1977 . He then completed an apprenticeship as a motor vehicle mechanic, passed the final apprenticeship examination in 1982 and practiced this profession until 1984. He then joined the Federal Gendarmerie, trained at the Absam / Wiesenhof Gendarmerie School until 1985 and then worked as a gendarmerie officer at the Tyrolean Transport Department, head of the motor vehicle and international freight transport division and head of the Autobahn investigation group based in Zirl. In 1991/92 he completed an apprenticeship as a duty gendarmerie officer at the Gendarmeriezentralschule Mödling , since 2005 he has been a police officer at the regional traffic department in Innsbruck and specialist provider for speed monitoring.

In the state elections in Tyrol in 2013 , Andreas Leitgeb ran for third place on the state list of the BürgerKlubs-Tirol from Fritz Gurgiser , who failed to make it into the state parliament. Since the end of 2017 he has been the financial advisor at NEOS Tirol. On March 28, 2018 he was in the constituent state parliament session of the XVII. Legislative term as Member of the Tyrolean Parliament sworn in , where he served on the committee for Housing and Transport and the Financial Control.
