Andreas Müller (politician, 1934)
Andreas Müller (born February 12, 1934 in Leuggern ; legal resident in Lengnau AG ) is a former Swiss politician of the National Ring of Independents (LdU).
Life
Family and work
The Catholic baptized, born Leuggerner Andreas Müller, son of the teacher William Mueller and his Wife Alice born Santandrea, completed after the end of compulsory education in his home town from 1949 to 1953 trained as a sculptor . Andreas Müller, who at the same time attended the arts and crafts school in St. Gallen , then worked in the profession he had learned. After obtaining the federal Matura , Müller switched to the teachers' seminar in Wettingen in 1956 , which he completed in 1958. As a result, Müller was employed as a primary school teacher until 1962 . In the 1960s he devoted himself to studying history and journalism at the University of Zurich and the University of Münster , and in 1967 he earned the academic degree of Dr. phil. He then took on a teaching position at the old canton school in Aarau , and in 1994 he retired. In 1960, Andreas Müller married Charlotte, the daughter of John Gotthold Muischneek. He stood out in particular through contributions to politics and the history of the Canton of Aargau .
Political career
Andreas Müller, who joined the State Ring of Independents (LdU), was elected to the National Council by the Aargau people in 1976 , and left in 1990. He was also a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe from 1984 to 1989 . Andreas Müller's political commitment was particularly in the field of state political organization.
