Andreas M. Kaufmann

Andreas M. Kaufmann (* 1961 in Zurich ) is a Swiss-German light artist .

life and work

Andreas M. Kaufmann studied from 1984 to 1991 at the Art Academy Münster with Timm Ulrichs , as a master student with Hans Paul Isenrath and parallel design at the universities of applied sciences in Münster and Dortmund. In addition, he followed seminars on philosophy, history and German literature at the Westphalian Wilhelms University . In 1991 he completed his studies with a diploma and an academy certificate. From 1999 to 2001, Andreas M. Kaufmann assistant at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne with Zbigniew Rybczyński . In 2004 he became a visiting lecturer at Montse Badia at Goldsmiths, University of London . From 2004 to 2005 he was co-curator of the touring exhibition Paisatges Mediàtics / Mediascapes at CaixaForum Barcelona . Kaufmann lives in Cologne and Barcelona.

Andreas M. Kaufmann shows light installations at the Hellweg - a light path and since 2010 at the Ruhr Atoll . Andreas M. Kaufmann was a participant of lichtsicht 1, 2007 and lichtsicht 6, 2017 in Bad Rothenfelde and showed a cave for Plato in the Villa Ingenohl in 2009 .
