Andreas Petrik

Andreas Petrik (born 1968 in Aachen ) is a German political and social scientist .

Life

In 1988 Andreas Petrik graduated from high school. From 1988 to 1990 he completed community service at a school for the mentally handicapped in Marburg . He then studied political science , German and pedagogy at the University of Marburg from 1990 to 1997 . He completed his studies with the first state examination.

From 1994 Petrik was a seminar leader and speaker at the Association for the Promotion of Political Action in Bonn for six years . From 1998 to 2000 he completed his legal clerkship and thus obtained the second state examination. He then worked as a research assistant in the Department of Education at the University of Hamburg until 2004 , where he was assigned to the Department of Didactics of Social Science Subjects. Between 2004 and 2008 was Petrik teacher at Hamburg Corvey High School.

In 2006, he was at the University of Hamburg Dr. phil. doctorate and also became a member of the commission for the competence-oriented revision of the Hamburg education plan for politics / society / economy. In the summer semester of 2008 he represented the professorship for didactics in social studies at the University of Halle-Wittenberg.

Since the winter semester 2008/2009 he has been a university professor for didactics of social studies in Halle (Saale) at the Martin Luther University.

research

Petrik's main research area is political education and its methods. Among other things, he deals with various methods such as B. the "village foundation simulation " and business games , but also with the question "What is good political education?"
