Andreas Pospich (born December 8, 1961 in Salzgitter ) is a former German soccer player who played in the storm at the beginning of his career, but was increasingly used as a defender in the further course of his career.

Career

Andreas Pospich played for Fortuna Lebenstedt and Union Salzgitter until 1984 , when he moved to Eintracht Braunschweig . With Eintracht he played in his first year under coach Aleksandar Ristić in the Bundesliga . He made his debut on the 1st matchday of the 1984/85 season when he came on for Michael Scheike in the 1: 3 home defeat against 1. FC Köln . The season ended for Pospich and his teammates with relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga . Pospich stayed in Braunschweig and played in the 2nd division until 1991. Then Pospich was still active for half a year with the upper division Eisenhüttenstädter FC Stahl , for which he was also used in the two matches of the 1991/92 European Cup Winners' Cup against Galatasaray Istanbul .
