Andreas Preuss

Andreas Preuss (born March 30, 1962 ) is a German table tennis player and trainer and is currently the manager of the Borussia Düsseldorf club .

Preuss played for TTC Grünweiß Bad Hamm until 1984 and then moved to Borussia Düsseldorf . With their men's team he was German champion in 1986, 1988, 1990 and 1992.

Trainer and manager

In 1999, Preuss took over the club's coaching position from Mario Amizic , having previously worked as a manager since 1994. During his tenure, he led the club to win the German Championship in 2003 and was thus named Trainer of the Year, the title of which is awarded annually by the Association of German Table Tennis Trainers and the specialist magazine Deutscher Tischtennis Sport . In 2006 he handed over the coaching position to his assistant coach Dirk Wagner , but is still active as a manager and contributed to the engagement of Timo Boll .

Private

Preuß has been married to Croatian-born Romina Majcen since June 2001. He has three daughters with her.
