Andreas Uwe Müller

Andreas Uwe Müller (* 1958 ) is a Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

From 1986 to 1988 he was vicar in Überlingen and Freiburg im Breisgau and co-founded the Martin Heidegger Society . From 1990 to 1992 he completed his doctorate at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau with Bernhard Casper with “summa cum laude”. From 1992 to 1994 he was a university pastor, mentor in Freiburg im Breisgau and radio employee. From 1995 to 2004 he was a pastor at the vocational school and dormitory for students “St. Elisabeth “, Freiburg. In 1995 he became a member of the interdenominational dialogue forum. 1996 co-founded the international working group "Theology and Philosophy". In 1997 he was appointed to the scientific board of trustees of the Edith Steins yearbook. Since 2000 he has been co-editor of ESGA (Edith Stein Complete Edition, 25 volumes). In 2003 he advised the educational center of the Aargau Regional Church in Wislikofen (Switzerland). In 2004 he studied in France and Belgium . After completing his habilitation in 2006 at the Theological Faculty of the University of Freiburg (first reviewer: Hansjürgen Verweyen , second reviewer: Markus Enders ), he was appointed private lecturer for Christian philosophy of religion and fundamental theology. In 2006 he became a research assistant at the chair for Christian philosophy of religion and had lectureships at the University and the PH Freiburg . Since 2006 he has been teaching as Prof. ass. for fundamental theology and dogmatics at the University of Friborg (substitute professor for four years) From 2011 to 2014 he was professor for dogmatics and the history of dogma at the University of Münster .

His work and research focus are theology of religions, art and transcendence, hermeneutics and revelation and studies of the phenomenology of religion.
