Andreas Vogel (* 1952 ) is a German songwriter and doctor from the Saarland .

Life

The lyricist, composer and singer Andreas Vogel accompanies his songs unplugged with guitar and harmonica. The songs deal with peace and environmental issues and call - in classic songwriter manner - to resistance, interference and change. There are also songs on (inter-) human topics such as longing, security, encounter, maturity and love.

Andreas Vogel is committed to peace and environmental issues. Together with Astrid Klug, he is one of the initiators and since then also one of the organizers of the eco-fair Environment and Peace Day , which took place 25 times between 1987 and 2012.

Andreas Vogel was a senior physician at the Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Homburg University Hospital , now works 2 days a week as a child and adolescent psychiatrist in the MVZ in Saarbrücken and lives with his family in Homburg .

In the early 1970s, Andreas Vogel played in the Saarbrücken folk group Schmetterling . Since then he has performed with Wolfgang Winkler with his own lyrics and songs, later mostly solo. From 1998 Andreas Vogel found a musical partner in Michael Seibert (saxophone, flutes and clarinet). Andreas Vogel translated many folk songs into German, especially Bob Dylan's songs . After the death of his partner Michael Seibert, Andreas Vogel returned to the cabaret after a long break. From 2003 he appeared with the solo program Andreas Vogel sings Bob Dylan , in which he presented Dylan songs in German under the title The Times Change . Since 2008 only seldom appearances as a singer-songwriter. Andreas Vogel has been singing in the blues rock band Seventh Sunrise since 2008 . In 2013 the music for the reading Meine Sehnsucht will not pass away - love letters to Adolf Hitler with Silvia Bervingas followed . 2017 collaboration in the Liederschmiede project , on September 30, 2017 concert in Mainzweiler with Lisa Ludes, Wolfgang Schulz, Rüdiger Ulrich, Stefan Biehl, Gunnar Schröder and Günter Groß. 2019 concerts with Lisa Ludes.
