Andreas von Meiller (born December 22, 1812 in Vienna , † June 30, 1871 in Vienna) was an Austrian archivist and historian.

Life

After studying law at the University of Vienna , graduating in 1837, he joined the archive service at the State Archives in 1841 . Meiller became a real member of the Academy of Sciences in 1851 and a member of the examination committee for archivists and in 1860 the first archivist.

The University of Vienna appointed him Dr. phil. hc
