The Andreassen Lake is next to the Green Lake the more northerly of two small lakes on the east side of the Ulu Peninsula on the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It is located between Saint Martha Cove and Andreassen Point .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2015 based on the name of the headland of the same name. It is named after Frantz Leonard Andreassen (1858–1920), first mate on the Bark Antarctic , the ship of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) under the direction of Otto Nordenskjöld .
