Andrei Birca
Andrei Birca (born March 23, 1988 ) is a Moldovan weightlifter .
Career
Birca reached eighth place in the snatch in the class up to 77 kg at the 2010 European Championships , but he had no valid attempt in pushing. At the World Championships in the same year he finished 14th. In 2011 he was eighth in the snatch at the European Championships and also won the bronze medal at the U23 European Championships in pushing. In 2012 Birca came fourth at the World University Championships. At the Universiade 2013 he was tenth. In April 2014, however, he was tested positive for metandienone and stanozolol during a training check and was banned for two years.
