Andrei Găluț (born August 2, 1984 in Arad , Romania ) is a Romanian rock musician.

Career

After Andrei Găluț won Megastar, the Romanian version of American Idol on Prima TV , in 2008, he was made an honorary citizen in his hometown. As the season winner, he received a contract from Universal Music to produce a full-fledged album. However, this was never released because the collaboration between him and the label did not fit. Galut gave the reason that he was not the “typical talent show participant”.

Găluţ played in the Romanian metalcore band Goodbye to Gravity , which emerged in 2011 from the remnants of the band Thunderstorm . The debut album of the same name was released in 2012.

On October 30, 2015, Găluţ suffered severe burns in a fire at Club Colectiv in Bucharest . The band Goodbye to Gravity celebrated the release party of their last album Mantras of War on October 30th in the club . His bandmates were killed directly in the fire or died days later of their injuries.
