Andrei Wiktorowitsch Monastyrski
Andrei Wiktorowitsch Monastyrski ( Russian Андре́й Ви́кторович Монасты́рский , transliterated Andrej Viktorovič Monastyrskij ; born October 28, 1949 in Pechenga ) is a Russian artist and author.
life and work
Andrei Monastyrski is a protagonist of Moscow Conceptualism , an unofficial art practice of the 1960s. In 1976 he founded the group collective actions ( Russian Коллективные действия ), which carries out art actions to this day. His new work has been called ironic responses to the post-Soviet transformation.
