Andrei Hardsejeu

Andrej Hardsejeu ( Belarusian Андрэй Гардзееў , also known under the Russian form of the name Андрей Гордеев , Andrei Gordejew or Andrey Gordeyev ; born August 7, 1973 ) is a Belarusian marathon runner .

He is best known in Germany for his two victories at the Hanover Marathon : 2001 in 2:11:44 (currently valid course record) and 2002 in 2:11:54 (whereby a misdirection on the course prevented an even better time). He also won the 2000 San Diego Marathon and 2005 marathons in Detroit and Richmond, Virginia . In 2008 he won the Krakow Marathon , in 2009 he won the half marathon competition of the St. Wendel Marathon and came fifth in the Düsseldorf Marathon .

With five times below 2:13 he is the most successful Belarusian marathon runner after Uladsimir Kotau .
