Andrei Lakisov

Andrej Lakisov (also Andrey Lakisov; born July 30, 1983 in Baranowitschy , Belarus ) is a German saxophonist .

Live and act

Andrej Lakisov started making music at the age of four. In 1994 he won the first prizes, including 1st prize at the state competition for woodwinds in Baranovichy and 3rd prize at the Belarusian woodwind competition. At the age of 15 he was awarded a diploma at the international music hope competition in Homel . From 2001 to 2003 he studied at the Glinka University of Music in Minsk . He completed his studies and the concert exam with distinction at the Hanns Eisler University of Music and the Berlin University of the Arts .

In 2006, Lakisov won the Yamaha competition in Mannheim and has since performed internationally on major European stages and at international festivals. His repertoire includes works of classical music as well as jazz, swing, klezmer, Balkan, funk and soul.

Lakisov collaborated with numerous orchestras, ensembles and bands, including the Kammersymphonie Berlin, the Lautten Companey and the Junge Musik Berlin. Lakisov has performed at the Munich Opera Festival (in cooperation with the Bavarian State Opera ), in the Vorpommern Theater , in the Nikolaisaal Potsdam as well as at festivals such as the Munich Sound Festival ( Gasteig ), the Stolberg Music Summer and the Chamber Music Days in the Kunsthalle Kühlungsborn .

In 2011 he founded the Trio Laccasax together with Timofey Sattarov, with whom he released two albums. He also plays in the permanent duo with Nadja Zeljukina and in the Duo Azar with Ulugbek Palvanov . In addition to the saxophone, he also plays other woodwind instruments, as well as guitar and piano. As a singer and songwriter he took part in the Russian songwriter festivals in Bielstein, Wuppertal , Munich and Bielefeld .

In 2016 he founded the Tame Classical concert series .

Andrej Lakisov lives in Berlin.
